Meet Our Team at Excelsior Animal Hospital
ELLIE FEREZY, DVM
Medical Director
Dr. Ferezy grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate studies at Iowa State University, and returned to the University of Minnesota for veterinary school. Her professional interests include working with senior pets, helping with pet behavior/training tools, and performing surgery. Dr. Ferezy enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and pets (2 dogs, 2 cats). She loves being outdoors and spends summers boating on nearby lakes as much as possible.
JAIME SHRIVER, DVM
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Jaime Shriver grew up in Minneapolis and dreamed of being a veterinarian since she was 11 years old! Her childhood dog Kirby was adorable but sickly so she spent a lot of time with animal doctors when she was a kid. She went to the University of Minnesota for undergraduate and veterinary school, graduating in 2010. She worked in private practice for 5 years after graduation and then spent 7 years working for the Pet Poison Helpline, becoming board certified in toxicology. She is so happy to be back in private practice working daily with patients and their people. Her professional interests include cardiology, anesthesia, toxicology, emergency medicine and preventative care. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, daughter, Cavalier Spaniel Mix Theodore and spicy cat Jack. In her spare time she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with family and attempting to play tennis.
STEPHANIE RAY, CVT
Hospital Administrator
Stephanie graduated from Argosy University in 2009, she started her career in emergency medicine but always dreamed of having daylight working hours; she has gone from emergency to urgent care and landing happily in general practice. Stephanie enjoys all things summer weather approved, and reading in the winter months snuggled up with her double enucleated Chihuahua named Peaky, her Pit Bull named Lulu and her two cats Papaya and Tahini. Stephanie joined our team in December 2020 working on building the team and friendly faces of the clinic, her passion nowadays are team satisfaction, patient care and client care; you can often find her with a desk buddy recovering or just bouncing around the clinic from her morning coffee.
Francesca
Certified Veterinary Technician
Graduated from MSB / Globe College in 2009 and has been a CVT ever since, including a background in working with Wildlife Rehabilitation, Emergency, and Dermatology. She lives with her husband, and their current fur-family consists of 3 cats. She enjoys cooking, camping, and being out in nature. She strives to always provide the best experience possible when interacting with any furry (or non-furry) critters, and is passionate about improving the bond between pet parents and their veterinary care team.
AINSLEY C.
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Ainsley joined the team in April of 2021 as a customer service representative but has since trained as a veterinary assistant. She is currently finishing a degree in communications but would love to explore further education in veterinary medicine in the future. In her free time, Ainsley enjoys spending time with her two dogs, two cats, and two leopard geckoes.
